Why did I choose the name “Coire an Eòlais”? One day a friend and I were talking about doing a podcast together and we really enjoyed the idea of a podcast where we would just grab a quick cuppa and chat about whatever magical topic we wanted, so we managed to create this name. ‘Coire’ is the Gàidhlig word for ‘kettle’ but can also mean ‘cauldron’, which is quite nicely linked to the cozy and magical vibe we wanted. Furthermore, we chose ‘Eòlas’ as this indicates (in folklore) a kind of magical healing wisdom, and so we chose that to acknowledge the elders and folk who had this knowledge and who still carry it.
